We are excited to announce a brand new class series for our In Season space: Dig It! An Intro to Gardening. For 8 weeks, members of LCFM and the Eugene Garden Club will be teaching you the basics of gardening, from planning to planting! Come learn how to grow your own starting this Saturday, February 1st through March 22nd. Each demo takes place in our In Season space, at 11:00 and 12:00.
Jenny’s introductory class, Where Am I?, will cover key topics for anyone looking to start a garden, including understanding growing and climate zones, how to work with frost dates, positioning of garden beds for optimal sun exposure, plot considerations, and local resources, such as community gardens, garden clubs, and online resources.
